Meet the M.B. in M.B. Stone Works
Mark Boller is a highly skilled tile and stone setter. Of the various career paths that he was considering, he chose tile for the creativity it offers. “No two projects are the same…each home has its own theme and each homeowner has their own style. It’s always exciting to see the final result,” says Mark.
After moving to the San Francisco Bay Area from southern California, Mark joined Ceramic Tile Design in San Rafael. He spent a year managing their warehouse and absorbing everything he could about the industry. From there he went to work for Scarborough Tile, where he trained with master craftsman Rick Scarborough.
“I have been fortunate to learn and implement the highest standards in quality tile and stone installation,” Mark says of his years at Scarborough Tile.
In 2003, Mark became a licensed tile contractor and launched his company, M.B. Stone Works. A member of the National Tile Council of America, he stays current with all city codes and technological advances. A believer in the tried, tested and true methods, he takes no shortcuts that can result in problems down the line.
Always mindful of being an “intruder” in someone’s home, Mark believes that communication is key. “The only thing I want to leave is a good impression,” he says.
